Record the trails you walked.

TrailCam follows your route with GPS and keeps the small things you noticed along the way — a video clip, a photo, a voice note — pinned to the exact spot on the map where you stopped.

What a walk looks like afterwards

  • DistanceHow far the route ran, point by point.
  • DurationMoving time, with pauses kept out of it.
  • PaceYour pace per kilometre or mile — your choice of unit.
  • ClimbElevation gain, drawn as a profile under the map.

What TrailCam does

Everything below is in the app today. Nothing more is promised.

  • GPS route recording that keeps going

The route keeps recording while the screen is off or you are in another app. Pause and resume freely — paused time stays out of your moving time. If the app is ever interrupted mid-walk, it offers the unfinished route back to you when you return.

  • Video, photos and voice notes on the route

Capture a clip (up to two minutes), a photo, or a spoken note without leaving the recording screen. Each one is saved against the point of the route where you took it.

  • Replay the whole walk

Open a saved route and watch it draw itself across the map, with your clips and notes appearing where you recorded them, and the elevation profile running underneath.

  • 11 activity types, plus your own

Hiking, running, cycling, motorbike, skiing, swimming, rowing, driving, transit, train, flight — each with its own colour on the map. Add your own activity with a name and an emoji, and hide the ones you never use.

  • Interval sets with spoken cues

Set your sprint and rest, and TrailCam calls out each set aloud so you can keep your phone in your pocket. Distance and pace announcements can be spoken as you go, in your language.

  • GPX and CSV, in and out

Export a single route or your whole history as GPX 1.1 — the format Strava, Garmin Connect and Komoot read — or as CSV. You can bring an existing GPX file back in, too.

  • Your history, backed up

Sign in with Apple or with an email address and your routes sync to the cloud, so a new phone starts with everything already there.

  • Four themes, four languages

Sakura, plain white, jungle green and a dark volcano theme. English, 日本語, 简体中文 and 繁體中文. Kilometres or miles. Weekly distance goal if you want one, badges as your total adds up.

How it works

  1. Pick what you are doing

Choose hiking, running, cycling — or an activity you added yourself — and wait for the satellites.

  2. Walk, and capture what you like

The route records itself. When something is worth keeping, tap record and it stays pinned to that spot.

  3. Come back to it later

Replay the route on the map, look at the elevation profile, export it as GPX, or just let it sit in your history.
